Welcome to Hooked on Hockey!

Hooked on Hockey is a holiday programme based in the Waikato.

This programme is all about getting active, making new friends and learning key skills. This is a sports based programme and we have visitors join us from a variety of sports codes so we can learn more about their sport.

From the first time you enter our Youthtown programme, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and treated as part of our Youthtown whānau.

Youthtown is a NZ not-for profit that for the last 91 years has been supporting children and young people with a range or programmes. Our programmes work with young people, in fun and engaging ways, to build life skills, foster a love of lifelong of physical activity, movement and play; and respond to the needs of young people in communities across Aotearoa.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMME INFO

From $60 per day.

Ages: 5-13

7:30am - 4:30pm

Each day will feature a hockey sport specific session lead by our pro Waikato representative hockey coaches in the morning and afternoon split into age groups, to learn skills, develop confidence, and make new friends. Bring lunch, snacks, water bottles, your sport shoes, hockey sticks, shin guards, mouthguards, and a willingness to give things a go! Don’t worry if you don’t have a stick, we will have one you can borrow!
