Let's go on an overnight adventure! Get ready for an awesome camp experience at Cragieburn.

What's Happening

Bring a packed lunch to keep you energised for the day. You will need walking boots or shoes, and a rainproof jacket. A change of clothes is always a good idea on the Coast, as is a towel. Bring a mobile 'phone to record sound and to download apps for use during the day. This is a smoke, vape and energy drink free day. Please get in touch if you would like more information.

Week 1 | 12-14 July

Tuesday 12 July

Go for Gold!

Relive the days of the gold rushes that made The Coast rich in wealth and history. A walk through some of the old mine workings, with stories and tales.

Wednesday 13 July

Hokitika Blue

Join us on a day trip to the town of Hokitika and its beach before heading to Hokitika Gorge. This is a day for any artists out there to bring along cameras, sketchbooks and pencils, and, if time allows, we will make a short video on mobile 'phones using the Kinemaster app.

Thursday 14 July

Making Music

Explore the sounds around town, recording them to make a soundscape by using an app to layer audio together. This can be used for movies or as the basis for dance tracks. A day of experimentation and fun!

Week 2 |19 - 20 July

Tramp

An exciting opportunity to link up with the West Coast and explore part of the St James walkway. We will be walking for around 5 hours, so please keep this in mind when you register for the programme. The hut we will visit is probably going to depend on the weather, but will be either Magdalen hut or Cannibal Gorge hut.
