What people say
We were very excited and felt very fortunate that our students would have extra opportunities within the Health and PE curriculum and gain further exposure to a range of sports and skills. I have been very impressed with the enthusiasm, energy and commitment of the Youthtown facilitators and their positive attitudes when working with our students. - Dion, Kihikihi School
Youthtown has been at our school every Monday morning to deliver skills required for different sports disciplines. They have established sound respect and relationships with the children. The children respond positively to the skills they are taught and because of the scaffolding nature of Youthtown's delivery, the children are able to build upon and strengthen prior skills learnt. On rainy Mondays when Youthtown can't come out, our children really miss them. We feel very privileged to have the service of Youthtown, especially because of their professionalism, great organisation and excellent ability to connect with our children. - Leanne, Kawhia School
Aka Aka School loves Youthtown Sports delivery! We have found that the skill level of our students is improving term on term, and students who were reluctant to get involved in sport have grown in confidence as their skill level improves. Having an expert come in and coach our students means that physical education is not sidelined due to time or lack of confidence of teachers. Our teachers have picked up loads of skills and strategies from the sessions that we can use between Youthtown visits. It is an invaluable investment in the development of healthy, active kids. The values base sits well with our school values and encourages students to be supportive, active participants in sport. Brooke is an asset to Youthtown - she has built great relationships with students and they look forward to her coming each week! - Michaelene, Principal
