About Us

Hey guys, I’m Kate and I am the Programme Lead for Maidstone Intermediate. I have had a passion for working with and inspiring young people since I was in primary school. I enjoy all things creative, from cooking and baking to any arts and crafts.

Our team at Maidstone are an inclusive and friendly bunch who are dedicated to making a space where all our participants feel safe and accepted and of course can unwind and have fun! It is also important to us to provide experiences for children to learn and explore new things or deepen their interest in things they may have already been interested in. We run all types of different activities from cooking and crafts to water fights and ping-pong competitions.

We are lucky in our space because we have two adjoining rooms, one we use for watching movies, doing crafts, playing quiet board games and the more relaxed activities. In the other room we have table tennis tables and a foosball table where kids can be a bit louder and more energetic even on days where it may be a bit wet and rainy. We also have access to a very large field, two school playgrounds, netball courts and an astro turf for all the outdoor fun on clear days!

Why choose Youthtown

If you’re looking for a fun, engaging place to learn things, make friends and build confidence, look no further! Our Holiday Programme staff are skilled at helping new participants settle in and make connections.

Our Holiday Programme is intentionally designed to create space for positive outcomes. There’s a lot going on under the surface, thanks to our Youthtown Curriculum, to ensure this happens!

From the first time you enter a Youthtown programme, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and treated as part of our Youthtown whānau.
