Executive Director Scholarships
Executive Director Scholarships provide financial support to ensure Youthtown’s OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recereation) programmes are accessible to all young people. The scholarship is available to families who are not eligible for other funding or subsidies e.g. the OSCAR WINZ subsidy or CYF funding.
Youthtown provides two OSCAR services that meet Child Youth and Family standards – the afterschool programme and holiday programme.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Child nominated for the programmes must be between 5 – 13 years of age
- For afterschool programme, the child must attend a school supported by Youthtown transport
- Priority will be given to applicants who have had limited access to physical, social and creative experiences
- Applicants cannot be under the care of a support organisation e.g. Child Youth and Family
The scholarship application must be put forward by a school teacher, sports coach or authoritative figure such as a youth group, church or community leader.

Camp Scholarships
The Youthtown Camp Scholarship programme is designed to give young people an opportunity to attend one of our famous outdoor adventure camps.
Youthtown has been these running camps since 1983. They give young people the chance to build confidence through participation in a range of exciting challenges and activities.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Apllicant must be between 7 - 17 years of age

Applicant must be available on the dates of the camp

Applicant must provide own transport to and from camp

Priority will be given to applicants who have not received a camp scholarship in the past

Applicants must not be under the care of a support organisation i.e. CYFs
-
Priority will be given to applicants who do not hold a position of leadership within their school
The scholarship application must be put forward by a school teacher, sports coach or authorative figure such as a youth group, church or community leader.
